18^th July is globally known as Mandela Day. Created as a day to acknowledging the sacrifices of Mr. Mandela’s 67 years in fighting for social Justice, all he asked for was that people consider giving just 67 minutes of their time in the service of other who are less fortunate thank themselves.

Bikers for Mandela Day take the concept to the next level and chooses to focus on Mr. Mandela’s personal charity project, The Mandela Education Programme. The Mandela Educations Programme focuses on the key element in learning, which is Literacy, both physical via School Libraries and Digital via the Digital Learning Platform.

By participating, all donations (R100 entry donated on this site, plus what you can generate in donations ffor others) will be used towards the creation and delivery of new libraries into impoverished schools around South Africa where we can have a real impact.
